Baby Shopping
Hi there smart Eagles! Last week, we've read an article about 'Baby Shopping'. This is in relation to our Unit of Inquiry on 'Human Rights and Responsibilities'. Since we are studying about the United Nations' Convention on the Rights of the Child, we have identified some problems in Indonesia and other parts of the world. We found out that many children suffer from human rights abuses. One of which is selling babies or baby shopping. After re-reading the article, suggest things that you can do to protect the rights of children so that this problem will at least be prevented from happening over and over again. Remember that your suggestions should be something; achievable, possible, and realistic. Leave your response as a comment here. Share as many ideas as you can. If possible, relate it to your experience / based on what you've seen, read or watched from the TV or movies.

they will suffer such as these problems like homeless,hunger.taking drugs and etc.The children rights and responsibilities are the responsibilities of the government.The government must not only care about their own life but the childrens too,to have a better future for them.

I think childrens should not be sold.All childrens are taken care best by their own parents.
Parents should work hard to get money from their jobs not from selling babies.

My parent say government is come from citizen.Citizen choose the goverment because if they didn"t have any government there will be no privacy,right and etc.
If thre is government thre will be having privacy,rightand etc and the police will check it out if someone steal things and sells drug around the world and killed other people because that is a crime and government also cannot do it to and citizen.Government system is important because if there is no government system there will be no buldings,house,hotel and apartement.

my parent said that "Government is an organization that has the power to make and enforce laws certain territory, as well as has objectives to achieve a greater unity of all people, to maintain a democratic way of life and create a just society in which the wealth of nation shall be equitably shared".

According to my family goverment is the one who make rights and responsibilities and the one who rule for the citizen to follow.
It's great to see that some of you really involved your parents or some adults in your word quest. It is interesting to know how people create meaning about 'Government'. This will make it more interesting for us to create our own definition of this word.
